Obscurcis Romancia represents a fascination for the beauty of darkness as well as a vowed hatred towards weakness born from desire, this crucial instant when man becomes a slave to his own urges. As soon as man condemns himself, blinded by shady aspirations, he then ceases to exist, becoming rather a hollow shell manipulated by the incarnation of evil. Even though he feels he still retains control over his destiny, he remains the Devil’s puppet nonetheless. |

| The gloomy paths of poetry weave the fabric of their hymns. It is through the languages of Molière and Shakespeare that they express their sinister musical exploration. Orchestrating a modulation between Black Metal, Death Metal and classical music with poems inspired by romanticism, an 18th century literary current known for its melancholy, obscurity and lyrical metaphors; Obscurcis Romancia set themselves apart because of their simultaneously dark, powerful, aggressive and incisive music.

-----timeline------ 2006 September 1st Frank empowers the ranks of the band as the new lead singer. 2006 January 1st A sad day, Sylvain leaves the band. 2005 June 4th The band is invited to launch Galy Records' compilation in Montreal with Neuraxis, Ghoulunatics, Unexpect, Blinded by Faith and Descend into Nothingness. 2004 November 1st The “As the desire of evil is unsatisfied” video is launched. 2003 November 8th The band is invited to the “Trois-Rivières Metalfest” along with Kataklysm, Martyr, Anonymus, Quo Vadis, Ion Dissonance, Soul of Darkness and other Metal bands. 2003 July 31st The band is invited at the “Off-Francofolies” of Montreal as ambassadors of underground music in Quebec. 2003 September 13th The “Obscurcis Romancia” opus is launched at the Café Chaos in Montreal. 2003 The first opus, “Obscurcis Romancia” is signed by Galy Records. 2001 The “Règne du seigneur de perdition” demo is concocted with malice. 1998 Obscurcis Romancia spawns from darkness, fused from the ashes of two ancient factions forever gone from this world.
